I am a Deputy Division Chief at the International Monetary Fund, where I have worked for the past 16 years. I hold Bachelor and Master's degrees in both Economics and Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a Ph.D (with distinction) from Columbia University where I was a Fulbright Scholar. My main expertise is on political economy and fiscal policy issues, and I have worked extensively on Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
