23/3 - I just finished watching the last episode in season 10 of Bones on Foxtel and considering the fact that Channel 7 is only halfway through season 11 I don't think Foxtel will be getting its hands on it for some time, possibly not until next year even. Coming to the realisation that I might hav...

I'm trapped in bed with Strep Throat and Kay Scarpetta. This is a serious who-done-it that is working for me on all levels. This the kind of procedural mystery for me. We have a bad guy and the good guys that have no connection with each other other than the chase. Marino is becoming more well-roun...

Good book. I find her writing frustrating though as there's no opportunity to try to work out who the killer is before it's revealed as it's nearly also a character who is introduced 75% of the way through.

There are great many Kay Scarpetta novels to read. Thus is the third in the series and the third I have read. This is also the last one that I shall read.I was over 300 pages into this book when it became apparent that the protagonist was an unknown character that was dropped into the story. Ver...

Kay Scarpetta has such a fun job. She gets to probe around up close in dead rotting bodies almost every day. Yuck!

Overall I was less impressed by this one but I still liked it! The story was less thrilling than the last two and more political but still enjoyable.

This book started out really good. I loved that I was familiar with the territory, and could see places in my mind. The killer was perplexing and scary. And that the team seemed stumped on it all, created a lot of tension. But, she dragged out this book more. Months and months passed between the ...

although the novel itself is rather forgettable, the central characterization is memorable. dry, formidable, determined yet prone to various neurotic relationships (romantic & otherwise), kay scarpetta is a strong creation. unfortunately the forensic science aspects take a backseat to the police pro...

I feel like you can tell that writing isn't her first priority. Telling the story is more important, but the style isn't number one. I guess that's fine if you're telling a really good story, but I mostly feel like this has all been done. Just another crime mystery to be solved by a female high in t...

Kay Scarpetta, Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Virginia, is back in Patricia D. Cornwell's crime novel All That Remains. Those who remember my previous comments about Body of Evidence and Postmortem will want to read this one right away. It has skeletonized bodies, conspiracies, a little bit...
