I enjoyed the continuing story of James Herriot's Yorkshire. While there's no doubt there would be many colourful characters in that part of the world, it takes a good writer to bring them to life in this way. Very enjoyable.

I don't remember specifics that I can tie to any of the books, but I dearly loved these memoirs when I was in high school.
