All Together Dead is the seventh book in Charlaine Harris's series The Southern Vampire Mysteries. After being betrayed by her vampire love, Bill Compton, Sookie Stackhouse attends an all-important central U.S. Vampire Summit on the shores of Lake Michigan as a "human geiger counter" for Sophie-Anne Leclerq, Vampire Queen of Louisiana and who will be tried during the event for murdering her husband, King of Arkansas. The summit is a tense situation. The queen is in a precarious position, her power base weakened by hurricane damage to New Orleans. And there are some vamps who would like to finish what nature started. Sookie knows the queen is innocent, but she is hardly prepared for other shocking murders, not to mention protests by the Fellowship of the Sun, a right-wing anti-vampire movement. Sookie's bond with Eric Northman gets closer and she discovers Quinn's past.

Re-reading this one was weird because there were a lot of things I remembered very clearly (Sookie and Barry working together, the bombing of the vampire hotel, Sophie Anne being on trial, Sookie & Quinn being kinda-sorta together, Quinn's sister's first appearance, etc.), but also pieces I'd forgot...

Like, in this book they have this huge summit and all the vampires get together and have...
I'm unfortunately enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse-sequels less and less. Still entertainable and a nice light read, but lacking the charm it had in the first three to four books or so. I liked it better when the story took place in rural Bontemps instead of the shiny luxurious city scenery from this ...
I wanted to provide my review for just the first seven of the series, because they are the best. The rest from book eight onward just slowly trickle downhill. I was impressed with this series and it was one of the first that I got enveloped in with the characters and it's written in it's entirety a...
On a personal note I gave up with the True Blood series about half way through season five deciding I much prefer the world of the Sookie books to the Tv show. I had an idea to read each book before each new season but I loved the books more so that idea went pretty quickly. This book was one of the...
