Allen Renfro is a native of Tennessee currently making his residence in Knoxville. A graduate of Tusculum College he is recognized as an author of dark fiction who unabashedly tackles controversial subjects.Allen is the author of six novels including the bestselling novels Bridge Water and Snap. The critically acclaimed novel Snap is described as one of the most controversial and challenging thrillers in years addressing the issues of male prostitution and vigilante justice. Bridge Water, his fourth novel, blends murder, sexuality and humor to create a southern flavored novel that is unlike any of his previous works. The Raised and The Falling, the first two novels in the Morrelini Chronicles, take biblical history and reworks them into an epic supernatural series that follows the struggles of Adam O'Brien and the Morrelini family as they journey through the "second life." Ambiguity, the sequel to Bridge Water, addresses the conflict of religion and sexuality and the dangers of keeping secrets. Superstitious is Allen's first foray into young adult horror that appeals to all ages. Based on the old wives' tales told to him in his youth, Superstitious is reflective of the scary stories told around campfires at night.

I think my all 5 stars for this book are speaking for themselves.Snap is beautifully written, captivating and heartwrenching work of art. There's no romance and I honestly think I wouldn't like it if there was something lovey-dovey. Highly recommended.Crossposted on blog: http://frausorge.wordpress....

This is a very dark, fascinating, and at times gory, story dealing with manipulation and vengean...

3.85 starsThis is a wild ride, a psychological drama/horror story seen through the eyes of Danny, a 17 year-old street hustler and drifter reduced to tricking for food. We get a taste of Dickens when Danny, at the end of hope, with nothing and no one, is visited one night by his ghost of nightmares ...
