Allyson Whipple was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but now makes her home in the wonderfully weird city of Austin, Texas. She holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.A. from Case Western Reserve University. Allyson is the founder of the Austin Feminist Poetry Festival and the current First Vice President of the Austin Poetry Society. She teaches at Austin Community College.
