Being an aristocrat in London at this time means Balls, lots of dancing and just making yourself known. Women searching for husbands and men looking for a good woman to bed. Victoria is...
This has been a month for great finds! This was a wonderful historical romance mixed with vampires. Victoria has lost everything and must find a husband within a month. Dorian is trying to kill and capture the witches that are out to destroy his clan. When the two meet there is instant chemistry...
I really wanted to like this one, vamps and regency is two of my favourites, but something just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe too much drama, or that it felt too contemporary in how the heroine acted and reacted. IDK. I´ll try the other books in this series and hope for more.
I have to be in the right mood to enjoy Historical Romance. Sometimes I just get bogged down in all the formality and language. However, if you throw in a sexy and tortured Aristocratic vampire and pair him with an orphaned, desperate, yet spunky and witty young lady I’m easily drawn into the story....
Smart, sexy and cleverly written the Rulers of Darkness series will have you ensnared from the very beginning. Set in 1814, this is not your typical historical romance. For my full review, go to: http://guiltyindulgencebookclub.blogspot.com/2012/05/caressed-by-moonlight-rulers-of.html

I don't know. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for a historical romance. The story was decent and the characters ok. It just didn't grab me.
3.5 I did enjoy this book. A nice vampire tale with the expected hierarchy challenges and true love. The book ends so fast after the climax that one's head spins, but the epilogue sets up the next one.
This was a good first book for a series. I normally find the first one boring, but not this one. I look forward to reading more of Amanda's work.
