I found this one kinda hard to get into. It was confusing because it kept changing voices and at times repeating the story from another person's point of view. The characters didn't really seem that realistic...the mother was obsessed with Greek mythology, Yillis sees and tastes emotions and souls...
All I can say is WOW! This book reminds me when I first read The Help and The Secret Life of Bees and has a very strong balance of characters that will make you think.
