Every story in this trilogy (Chalice, Orlin's Fall, and Zall's Captain) is brain candy, which is all well and good - suspend disbelief and they're pretty fun.The one bummer is that each story had a lot of potential and if they had been fleshed out into full-length books, they might have been somethi...
It's my second reading of this book and it's still amusing and a fun read.Mate Hunt is a gay romp through space with dragons, kings, dukes and a young prince looking for a happily ever after but on his own terms. Amber Kell's book is a Space Opera meets gay romance and I was thoroughly entertained.I...
I have to admit the saving grace on this one was Michael Stellman's narration I definitely enjoyed listening to this narrator. Unfortunately the story while it sounded good in concept for me feel short in the execution and that's the end of that. It's only about 2 hours and 14 minutes listening t...
It started really well and wasn't bad as it progressed but the ending was really messed up. It could have been an excellent story, the very best in the whole series but it failed miserably.
It started promising and went down hill very quickly. I found it rather boring, with the exception of the epilogue which makes the next book appear really promising.
Like the previous books, it was published without proof reading! The characters are flat and unrealistic, and the author fails miserably at creating and maintaining the illusion that a lot is happening in this book. it seems the series is getting worse with each new installment!
1.5 starsThere wasn't really a story. There wasn't even a real conflict and at the end of the book the readers are only informed that the supposed conflict has been resolved! So what was the reason behind writing this book? It doesn't even fall under the PWP category !After all the author is expecte...
Well it is what is expected from most short books in this genre. Shifter meets mate, and claims him after a lot of growling "mine" and sex. That plus serious editing problems, from incomprehensible and meaningless phrases which are probably left overs from sloppy copy and pastes to incomplete or mi...
It was good, but like so many stories of this length, there just wasn't enough time to tell the story with any kind of justice to the characters. It was far too short.
