This short story is so tiny it would probably fit in these review.http://joylandmagazine.com/regions/los-angeles/swan-metaphor-loveI had to read twice to get all the metaphors. I expected something HILARIOUS, as Flavorwire claimed, but it is just ha-ha clever.

This was my first run in with Amelia Gray, but I sort of knew what to expect from her: dark, strange, talented. No doubt, all those things are true. Some of the stories in Gutshot really evoke the macabre of greats like Shirley Jackson and Edgar Allan Poe. There's just enough detail in these stori...

I liked how Amelia took me down the dark path of grief insanity in a...

Immediately, I know two things: 1) they don’t know me very well, or they’d know that I don’t, and 2) they don’t know me very well. That, of itself, wouldn’t be particularly interesting to most people, but it doe...

I like Amelia Gray and I like weird stories, but this one just didn't deliver the panache I was looking for and had come to expect after reading AM/PM.The stories that I liked which made this collection of short stories worth reading were:1. Babies2. Fish3. There Will Be SenseThe things that all the...
