I'm a big fan of Craig Ferguson. I've been meaning to read this for a long time and after watching one of his standup videos, I decided it was finally time. This was no less enjoyable than watching his standup act, in fact, I found it hard to put it down. Compelling, poignant, honest and side-splitt...
Before I bought and listened to this audio book, which came to my attention thanks to fellow Cannonballer Narfna's enthusiastic review, this is what I knew about Craig Ferguson: 1. Until very recently, he hosted the Late, Late Show, where he always seemed to be genuinely interested in the guests i...
I like Craig Ferguson because he's got that knowing edge to his humor, he's letting us in on the joke, he's not just cracking wise. So that's why my review gives his memoir 4 stars: http://tinyurl.com/n4zn9uh And if you're a pearl-clutching "how dare you" post writer, belt up. I'm not interested...
Craig Ferguson is a versatile and genial late-night talk show host. When I first became a fan of his show, what drew me in was his easy, friendly humor and genuine approach to interviews, preferring to engage in actual conversation over canned banter. He throws himself into goofy, off-the-wall ske...
Who knew Craig Ferguson was so interesting? Certainly not me. But now I do.It's a really well-written memoir with just the right mix of humor and honesty. He narrates the audiobook and I think I may have a wee crush on him. I may have to start DVR'ing the Late Late Show just to keep hearing his vo...
Three stars mostly because Craig Ferguson is just so likeable. There are a few chuckles and a bit of syrup. If this were by someone unknown to me, I would likely hit it harder for either its lack of comedy or its failed attempts to get me to emote.
What an amazing life Craig has had - it's so good that he managed to get on top of it all and survived to tell the tale. he's fantastic at writing, keeping it interesting and funny yet also showing how hard it must have been, how sad and so wretched. I enjoy watching his show more now, knowing what ...
3.5 starsI think Craig Ferguson is one of the most likeable people on television and I rather enjoy his late-night show. Just as in his show, Craig is charming, funny and real in his memoir as well. I listened to the book and luckily it was narrated by Craig himself. This allowed for the book to com...
For someone who’s livelihood is made making folks laugh, Craig Ferguson is a rather serious bloke. American on Purpose is a wonderful, moving, inspiring, and at times even funny, tale of Craig’s quest for the Holy Grail. Like so many of us in recovery he mistakes many things, people, substances, for...
