As ever this series is a source of mellow if melancholic pleasure. And this installment was as satisfying as it's predecessors. I read and reviewed the first book in the Maisie Dobbs series, Birds of a Feather, a few years ago. I gave it three stars, commenting that Maisie was a bit too perfect, and the book had some odd historical inaccuracies. I've recently become interested in WWI, so I thought I would try another book ...
Not my favorite.
Enjoyed this outing of Maisie Dobbs. Love the time period of the books, between WWI & WWII. Haven't read many books during this time period.
Not my favorite of the Maisie Dobbs books. There were so many unlikely guesses that turned out to be right that it was a bit hard to believe.
