I love, love, love the art. The characters are so cool, especially the snarky robot. The rabbit is the cutest badass I've ever seen. The storyline is interesting and surprised me several times. I just couldn't see some twists at all. It's also a lot darker than I expected it to be. And then there is...

I picked up the first six volumes in this series for free. Apparently, it was when volume seven was about to be released and Scholastic offer the first six via Kindle for free. The series chronicles the adventures of Emily, her brother Navin, and their mother as they try to adjust...

Classic fantasy in comic formThe Stonekeeper is a throwback to the old school fantasy that pulled no punches and left kids traumatized like The Never-ending Story. (Gods, I love that movie.) This prologue is brutal! The action is very well done, especially when using Kindles comic view. Helps give i...

For those of you who don't know, my kids are both reluctant readers. This is hard for me because I am such an avid reader. And it drives me crazy to read what "experts" say about how to make your kids readers. Yes, I read to my kids starting from the very beginning (and enjoyed it very much btw). We...

First of all, I got the first six volumes free for the Kindle. I hate the Kindle online reader for comics, so I'm reading these on my Kindle Paperwhite. Which means no color, which means it's not the ideal way in which to read these, but there you go. It doesn't even matter. The drawings ar...

I am in a bit of a graphic novel/comic mood, so I decided to check this one out. I saw quite a few people loved it and I was interested in it.However, I am kind of disappointed. I felt the story progressed too fast, too much. At times I was wondering, I have no clue who Emily really is, who her fami...

I had heard so many good things about this series and this being my first graphic novel series to start was incredibly brilliant and fast paced that I wasn't expecting to fly through this and like it as much as I did while reading this and ended up loving this and feeling pumped to continue on with ...

This was a fantastic middle grade graphic novel. Emily and Navin have gone through so much and through the pain Emily pushed forward for the sake of her family. I absolutely love this! I'm glad she did not kill the Elf Prince and used her power for only good.Amazing and I must continue on!

5 Very Enthusiastic Stars Self purchase for kindle. First Impression: Prologue a bit traumatizing but the art looks good. Everything this writer does ends up being gold for me. I loved the Flight collections he put together. This is better. ! This is everything I love, Graphic Novels, Young a...
