Amy Helmes co-authored "Exposure," "Tempestuous," and "Anyone But You," the first three in a series of Shakespeare-inspired YA novels known as "Twisted Lit." She's also written a compendium of tongue-in-cheek dating guides including the pseudo-scientific tome "Boys of a Feather: A Field Guide to North American Males." Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Amy graduated from Xavier University before migrating to Los Angeles. In 2004, she competed against record-setting champion Ken Jennings on the trivia quiz show "Jeopardy." (No surprise, she lost.) She obsesses over classic literature (and film adaptions thereof) at twistedlit.tumbler.com and dishes on love triangles and evil twins as news editor for the nationally published Soaps In Depth magazine.

Insta-love, then everyone dies. That's a real winner there. Which is why I was pleasantly surprised to...

Tempestuous is about a girl named Miranda who works at mall food court selling hot dogs. She is in this position due to her being caught in a SAT school scam and has to pay all the damage she has done. One day she, her coworkers, other mall employees, and some mall customers get snowed in and is tr...

This smart, gripping, sigh-inducing update of Romeo and Juliet takes on serious issues but still manages to be fun. Anyone But You is the third entry in the wonderful Twisted Lit series based on Shakespeare--each story is independent and doesn’t need to be read in sequence--and so far the books jus...
