"Right now you and me are - we're a sketch. And we could be a real picture someday, with ink and oils or watercolor, and hell, we may even be a movie. But not right now."That was ridiculous. I've all the warm fuzzies and I very much want to visit Candy Land. I was told I would definitely cry. I defi...
I didn’t think I would like this so much because I struggled with the first 30% but thank God, this story picked up. And how….Adam took a bus to Sacramento, where his cousin has offered him a house-sitting job. He has lost everything and is determined to get his life back on track, get a job, get ba...
Charming, lightly angst, and sweet holiday story. 4 stars.
“He wanted a job, he wanted to get back in school, and he wanted to find his own place before June. Friends? Lovers? Pets? Need no apply.” So, the moment has arrived. I’ve just finished my first book by Amy Lane. Most if not all my reading buddies have been raving about her forever. Most if not al...
Well, this was… okay. I liked it, but I was also a little bit bored at times.Apparently Darrin, the owner of a candy store is psychic. Reading Pixy Stix instead of tea leaves. See, there are all kinds of stuff you can do with it.
I don't know how I did it but somehow Amy Lane fell off my grid and I'm kind of glad because coming back to her with Candy Man was a really wonderfully pleasant holiday surprise. I know people knock the angst but I really enjoy the fact that Lane normally doesn't just let her characters say I love y...
So I took a quick peek at some reviews to try and see if I can write something that hasn't already been said. I'm not really sure that's possible, but I'll at least try and use my own words. I know I've said this before but first off can I just say I want my own Darrin and Finn because they are bo...
A lovely holiday treat, light on angst and heavy on hope. I loved this magical holiday story! Darrin runs Candy Heaven, and he has some strange ability to see bits of the future. His pixie stick is telling him that he needs to hire Adam Macias in order to give him the help he so desperately needs....
3.5 starsSweet, low angst, holiday fluff from Amy Lane. The main characters came off as a bit younger than their stated age, but nonetheless I enjoyed Finn's unwavering optimism in light of Andrew's near loss of hope for a happy future.
