This is the first book in the Matchmaker Series by Elise Sax. I was intrigued when I saw the first book, enough so that I was thrilled to be part of the Bewitching Book Tour for Matchpoint, the second book in the series. This gave me the push to move An Affair to Dismember to the top of my TBR pil...

This story was a bit all over the place and tried way too hard to be cutesy funny. It never really succeeded either. The whole thing tried to be "Plum "funny and got lost in a mess. And why do all these types of books have to have a "triangle"? I am so over that worn out gimmick!

I'm not sure about this book - it was a mash up of sorts. The writing felt disjointed and the story not very tightly woven at all. The whole matchmaking-third-eye premise of getting Gladie back home is never really explained very well - is this gift supposed to be of a psychic sort? There are hint...

Full review available at Tempting ReadsThe cover led me to believe this would be a romance with a little dash of mystery. Instead, it was the other way around: mystery with romantic elements. It did remind me a great deal of the early Stephanie Plum novels except this heroine doesn't have as many ...

I adore Grandma Zelda!! She reminds me of my own quirky Gran!! And I can really relate to poor Gladie! So many wonderful...

Wow I hadn't commented at all on this? I think something is twitchy in the state of GoodReads on this.I found this to be a fun, flirty read with a heavy dose of mystery. I want to say it was billed as a Stephanie Plum type book... but I've actually never read those. So I have no basis of comparis...

Average Rating: 3 out of 5.Gladie Burger is the sort of girl who doesn’t like to settle down in one place. She does temp works and changes around jobs, locations and so on. She moves to her grandmother’s place as her last living relative, to help the family business of match-making. Grandma Zelda ha...

*I won this book from the Goodreads First Reads giveaway.* This is the first time I've ever DNFed a book that I've won. I didn't want to, but I just couldn't make myself read it. This book is definitely not my cup of tea. The humor didn't work for me and I feel like I overdosed on quirky character...
