Anthology The average star rating is 3.42 stars out of 5. So a little better than average. Some good short stories and some stinkers. So about usual for an anthology.1. Playing Possum by Charlaine Harris. Really good story about Sookie and her 2nd cousin and his birthday celebration at school that's...
I'd been looking for this one for several months for the Illona Andrews contribution. Fortunately I guess, I didn't find it in my usual haunts - book stores, new and used. I did find it at the library. Fortunately. Because books like this are what give anthologies a bad name. None of the tales are...
Playing Possum ★★Sookie goes to visit her godson and they encounter a mad gunman. The apple taking the gunman down was stretching it a bit too much!Spellcaster 2.0★A university project is collecting and cataloging all the spells they can find. Most of the students do not believe in the spells until...
I only read Ilona Andrews story Magic Test. ~ 5 Magic Test Stars ~ Magic Test is #5.3 in Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels series. I enjoyed a peak into Julie’s mind and life. What a fantastic read! Ilona knows how to pull her fans into the world of Atlanta and it’s Magic/Technology. Magic Test is done...
Julie is such a smart cookie and this book showed how much she follow in Kate's footsteps. I liked seeing this different side this world and of course Kate managed to get her wish come true.
3 stars for the whole anthology but 4.5 stars if I was just rating Magic Gifts by Ilona AndrewsAn Apple for the Creature is an anthology containing 13 school related stories that would probably make great holiday reading around Halloween. As with most anthologies I found the quality of the stories w...

Somewhat mixed bag of stories with a central theme of education. Described by Charlaine Harris as creepy school stories they vary from pure horror to light and some of them caught my attention a lot. The first story is by co-editor Chalaine Harris, it's a Stookie Stackhouse or Southern Vampire Mys...
