I really enjoyed this book that was part memoir and part practical advice on how to approach life and work. I loved the stories about his time in space and the preparation that goes into it. I also appreciated his advice about living in the moment and being prepared for every potentiality in life....

While the self-help book aspect doesn't really gel for me on a personal level, it did help organise the book, and saved it from being Yet Another Astronaut Biography. Mostly it makes the book a comprehensive discussion of how astronauts are trained and why, how the shuttle and the space station work...
