tbh, I got through this mostly on the goodwill from how much I love Skippy Dies. Main dude was almost toooo oblivious, so much so that it made it hard to believe his seriousness at the end.

Skippy Dies was read as a group read on the Dutch forum Ezzulia.nl. I don't think we've ever read a book that caused so much different opinions and discussion. Murray has written a truly witty, but very engaging and true (to life) story. The characters are rich and thoughtfully worked out. The dynamics between them is true and they result in great dialogues, actions and reactions in a very skilled crafted world. Do read!

January Book Club Read. Not the kind of book I'd normally read and I did struggle through a large part of it. My main problem with it was that I didn't particularly care about any of the characters. It was only towards the end that I quite liked Frank, the man was like an iceberg, a lot happening...
