The writing was mostly downright hilarious, although it did get quite crude at moments. In fact, I'd say I prefer Eoin Colfer's writing style to Douglas Adams'. While they both have the humor down pat, Adams continually used short chapters that were only about a page or two, leaving a lot of waste...
