I was so disappointed in this book. The first person POV of Olivia was ridiculously difficult to read. Strangely enough, the third person POV of Dominic is not bad. the story line confused my often and seemed to just wander off in places.

2.5 stars. This is an interesting book about a fallen angel/vampire female and a reborn male. Reborn meaning that as he gets older all of the memories from his past lives come back to him. He must relive all of the pain of his past and the loss of the one's he's loved. The vampire is looking for sal...

This is really a 2-star and 4-star book by turns. There was some really nice prose, mixed with some really amateurish prose -- White has a lush writing style that needs tighter editing. The first part of the book dragged, and then became interesting for a while, and then started to drag again. Like ...

This has to be one of the strangest books I have read in a long time. It was confusing and yet something about seemed poetic. At times I scratched my head and thought wait so are these people really delusional or are they really fallen angels turned vampires? Can a person really remember many past l...

I am completely awed by the crispness of the writing. If say the writing was a dancer, then her lines would be clean and sharp. Succinct. Beautiful. And the subjects grappled with in the book are far different from the usual ones explored in books of the same genre. Pretty heavy stuff for an urban f...

I received this book from the Goodreads First Reads program. This book is a wonderful philosophical trip through the lives of the cursed and damned. This is also not your typical vampire book. In this one, vampires who must feed on the desires and fear through their victim's blood are actually angel...

First of all i want to say that this is not the typical vampire novel. Forget everything you had read about these creatures so far and prepare to be surprised.Olivia is a fallen angel, that is, a vampire. These angels have a feature: each person sees them differently according to their wishes. If yo...

If I could sum up this book in one word, that would be it. The tone, the setting and the characters are all unique creations by this new author, Skyler White. The tone/voice is the first thing you notice, imagine if an early American author were to have written a paranormal romance. The rich languag...
