This is Hosseini's third novel, his weakest so far. The story begins with the separation of the siblings Abdullah and Pari when Pari is sold to a childless rich couple in Kabul. What follows is a collection of short stories of people who are sometimes closely, sometimes loosely connected to that e...

I didn't think Hosseini would be able to top 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' but he somehow has. You are taken on a journey through time and space, the stories of all the characters intricately woven together. After this 'Kite Runner' has moved nearer to the top of my to be read pile.

I found And The Mountains Echoed on my kindle when I was stuck waiting to pass through the Channel Tunnel last month and I’d got through 60% of it by the time I got home. Story of fractured relationships and broken bonds. Exceptional storytelling by khaled hosseini but its more of everybody else's story than of a brother and sister.

The style, the language, and even some elements of the story are similar to Hosseini's earlier books (a mosaic of individual story, the mixture of people living in Afghanistan and the Afghan community living abroad, though mostly in the US), the interwoven fate of people over a lifetime… but it stil...

I just finished this book and turned on the TV. About a Boy was on, a movie about a friendship between Hugh Grant's character and a young boy who's kind of lost. Their relationship blossoms into what can only be described as family; an odd, quirky, completely unconventional family. This book is a...

As a fan of Khaled Hosseini’s books, I jumped at the chance to read his latest novel. The author once again delivered a gem of a book with vignettes woven into a complex tapestry of the nation and culture that is Afghanistan. Hosseini has arguably done more than any other author redefining contempor...
