Andrew R. Houghton is a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist at Grantham & District Hospital and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, UK.In 1997 his first book, Making Sense of the ECG (co-authored with David Gray), won the Richard Asher Prize for Best First Edition Textbook from the Royal Society of Medicine and the Society of Authors, and also won a Commendation from the British Medical Association.Making Sense of the ECG is now in its 3rd edition, published in 2008. A companion volume, Making Sense of the ECG: Cases for Self-Assessment, followed in 2009, together with a new textbook, Making Sense of Echocardiography.His latest textbook, Chamberlain's Symptoms and Signs in Clinical Medicine: An Introduction to Medical Diagnosis, which he has co-edited with David Gray, was published in May 2010.
