I am a British author and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist based in Bangkok, Thailand. Please visit andrewmarshall.com.Since 1993 I have explored Asia's remotest regions for magazines and newspapers worldwide, including TIME, The Sunday Times Magazine, National Geographic, Esquire, and many others. Since January 2012 I have worked for Reuters news agency as a Southeast Asia Special Correspondent.I won a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting in 2014.My book The Trouser People, about football and dictatorship in Burma, was a New York Times Notable Book and was shortlisted for the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award. I am also co-author of The Cult at the End of the World, a prescient account of Japan's homicidal Aum cult and the rise of high-tech terrorism. My books have been translated into ten languages.
