Andrew Mills was born in Geelong, Australia in 1963. He grew up in Colwyn Bay, North Wales in the UK where he lived until starting his professional career in Computing and Electronics in 1986. He now works in the high tech storage and networking industry, working and living in Southern California. Having authored a number of technical magazine articles in the field of communications, his first book, "Understanding FDDI", was produced while working at Advanced Micro Devices during the early days of 100Mbps networking technology development. Since then, he has worked in several high tech companies to assist in the both the technical and market development of new technologies or business strategies in the storage and networking industry, where he remains actively engaged today.
