Andy Sturdevant was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1979. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2005, where he still lives and works. Andy writes about art, culture, public spaces, cities, the Midwest, food, and other related topics. His first book, "Potluck Supper with Meeting to Follow," was named for a newsletter item in a Maoist Twin Cities-based newsletter of the 1970s, and published by Coffee House Press in 2013. The Minneapolis Star Tribune said it "feels like a long conversation with an interesting friend . . . inquisitive, witty and intelligent."
