I love Illyria, but most of her appeal comes from her interaction with the group. Though she's the star of this standalone, she spends too much time, well, being alone.

Was looking forward to reading about how Fred got on in after the end of the TV series. Well, I wish I hadn't bothered. Very formulaic. Angry demon goes out and finds their humanity. Maybe I am getting cynical, but it just wasn't very interesting. No tension. No drama. Just dull. Sorry.
