Angel M. Huerta was born in Monterrey, México in 1977. The second son of father Angel Mario Huerta Melendez and mother María del Carmen Cantú García When he was a teenager, he lived in Dublin, Ireland for two years, where he learned the English language. He's been wanting to go back to the Emerald Isle ever since. Angel made his screenwriter and directorial debut in the year 2000 with the Romantic Comedy "Inspiración" distributed by 20th Century Fox and Lions Gate Films. "Inspiración" is considered the first ever Romantic Comedy made in México. He continued his Filmmaking career with his second feature, the Sci-Fi thriller "Seres: Génesis" film that got him a Silver-Ariel nomination (Mexican Oscars) for Best VFX. In the year 2007, he ventured out as a Comic Book writer and publisher. But after a year of releasing titles like: Dragón Negro, Super Kids and Relámpago, he decided to shut down operations due to high costs in printing. Dragón Negro became a national best seller. In 2012, he moved with his family to Burbank, California to focus on his career as a filmmaker. In 2013, he simultaneously wrote his first novel "Alpha Gene" and the Graphic Novel "Masters and Gods" both of which are to be published in the SUMMER of 2013 and the SUMMER of 2014 respectively. Today, he continues to work as a Screenwriter and Director but is mainly focused on his future books.
