Angela Morales is the winner of the River Teeth Nonfiction Prize, 2014 for her essay collection The Girls in My Town (University of New Mexico Press, 2016). Her work has appeared in The Southern Review, the Harvard Review, The Los Angeles Review, Under the Sun, The Baltimore , Hobart, Literary Mama, 1966: A Journal of Creative Nonfiction, River Teeth, The Southwest Review, and The Chattahoochee Review. Her essays have also appeared in the anthologies The California Prose Journal and Best American Essays, 2013, ed. by Cheryl Strayed. She is a recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship (2016), Pushcart Prize nominee, and currently teaches composition and creative writing at Glendale Community College in Southern California.
