Angela Williams captivates an audience with a powerful message of triumph over tragedy as a victim of child physical and sexual abuse for 14 years and at age 17 attempted suicide. That day was the end of her torment and the beginning of a journey to healing. Today she is a crusader for change and dedicates her life to eradicate child sexual abuse. She founded VOICE Today, Inc. in 2008, a non-profit organization breaking the silence and cycle of child sexual abuse and exploitation. VOICE Today provides advocacy, awareness, prevention and healing programs and resources. She has launched THE VOICE MOVEMENT to bring awareness to this silenced epidemic and promote social change to preserve t the innocence of the next generation of children. She holds Masters in Forensic Psychology. Williams is a powerful messenger, actively engaging the media to expose the issue of child sexual abuse and educate on prevention strategies. She is the host of Angela’s VOICE TV Talk Show, and has appeared on over 100 TV programs and documentaries across the country including, CNN, HLN, In Session TV, CBN 700 Club, all National Affiliate’s; NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox News. Angela is working on national reform serving on the Policy Committee of the National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. She shares her own journey as a survivor in her inspirational autobiography, From Sorrows To Sapphires, and is co-author of Pathway to Healing, True Intimacy, Tough Talk To Tender Hearts, Single Parenting Solutions, Courage To Speak, and The Grooming Mystery. Angela is a trained facilitator for Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Programs and a tireless advocate speaking to crowds nationally and internationally. She received the 2007 Hearing Children’s Voices Award by SafePath Child Advocacy Center, 2011 Woman of Influence Award by the Life Changers International Club and honored as the 2013 Honorary Unsung Heroine on behalf of Saving Our Children & Families (SOCAF), 2014 Trinity Cruelty Prevention Award, the 2014 Ruby Soroptimist Award, the Diamond Heart Award by Diamond In The Rough Mentoring Program, was invited into the 2015 YWCA’s Women of Achievement Academy, and named Unstoppable Women’s Executive Woman of the Year.
