I really like this series. Yes, it's predictable but in a good way. The cover and illustrations are gorgeous and there is a map. The story is well written, characters likeable and the world interesting. Great fantasy book for children.

My 9-year old son and I listened to the audio version in the car. It was really good- a lot of fun! He got wrapped up in the story too which isn't an easy thing to do for boys.
