After reading this, I can see how Ahlborn shot up in popularity. The horror aspect is subtle at first, allowing the reader to use their imagination while doling out more in small bits until it takes you by surprise and leaves you shocked at the events.
Kept me reading from start to finish. Well written, very dark. My kind of thing.

Nicely put together demon/devil story set in the deep south.
It was a fast read, but does that mean it was good? Not so much. The story and characters lacked depth. Unfortunately you could watch any modern movie about demonic possession and get the same thing this book offers.
