While in the Catskills, she worked as a freelance feature writer for a regional newspaper. There, too, she met the inspiring women who became the model for Hannah Fox's Women of Action in DAMNED IF YOU DON'T.Since retiring from teaching, she spends much of her time writing, thinking about writing, and reading other people's writing. She also enjoys long walks, films, talking about films at the diner afterward, and time with family and friends. She devotes hours each day to procrastinating various obligations, but doesn't count that among life's pleasures. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, the Short Mystery Fiction Society, and the Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Weeds and Dust (APCWD) of which she is the proud founder. She can be found online at www.womenofmystery.net and www.anitapagewriter.blogspot.com
