Anne Primavesi (1934-) was born in Dublin, Ireland, where she joined a religious community and trained as a primary school teacher. Having left that community, she came to London, where she gained a B.D and then a Ph.D in Systematic Theology at London University. Her first book, "From Apocalypse to Genesis: Ecology, Feminism and Christianity", was published in 1991, with editions in German, Spanish and Portuguese. This was followed by "Sacred Gaia: Holistic Theology and Earth System Science" (2000); "Gaia's Gift: Earth, Ourselves and God after Copernicus" (2003); "Making God Laugh: Human Arrogance and Ecological Humility" (2004); "Gaia and Climate Change", (2009); "Cultivating Unity within the Biodiversity of God" (2011); "Exploring Earthiness: The Reality and Perception of Being Human Today" (2013).
