This novella takes place sometime in the far distant future in a totally controlled society and it will surely make you stop and think long after you turn the final page. It is about a dystopian society, yet I wonder if it is not really about what some would consider a utopian society. Everything is...

Absolutely profoundThis book was beautiful, thought provoking and so profound. Highly recommended! I was a little skeptical at first but once I picked it up and began reading I didn't put it down until finished (granted it's only 89 pages, but still).

It is base and evil.” - Ayn Rand, AnthemBefore my Goodreads days, before I knew anything about Ayn Rand, I kept spotting her name on booklists and decided to buy a few of h...

This might make a good introduction to Ayn Rand--it was mine. And unlike her other works, you can download it free--and legally--online at Project Gutenberg and other sites. Perhaps her estate thought it might entice new readers? It's short, for one--a mere novella of just 128 pages--not a behemoth ...
