Anthony Barcellos teaches math at American River College in Sacramento and lives in Davis, California. Before joining the ARC faculty, where he has one of the best jobs in the world, Barcellos was an analyst with the Commission on State Finance in the California State Treasurer's Office, and a legislative staffer for state Sen. Albert S. Rodda. He even held a summer job as a science writer for the Albuquerque Journal, where he got to visit Los Alamos and the Very Large Array radio telescope in Socorro. As you can see, Barcellos is a very lucky man, all of whose jobs have been interesting.Barcellos is a native of California, having grown up on his grandfather's dairy farm in Porterville, Tulare County. His first language is Portuguese, but that was long ago supplanted by English.
