Anthony Burke is an Australian writer, political theorist and international relations scholar. He was born and lived in Sydney for many years, where the smell of sea air, the slow roll of waves, and alternative rock music found their way into his veins, like an unstoppable chemical. He now lives in Canberra, Australia's capital, where he works as an Associate Professor of Politics at the University of New South Wales, and swims slow laps through chlorine and fluorescence.
