French illustrator Antoine Revoy was prophetically born on Rue Gustave Doré (named after the 19th Century artist) in Paris, France to an engineer father and accountant mother, in 1977.Raised in Japan, Antoine subsequently studied or worked in Mexico, Spain, China, Ireland and France. A polyglot, Antoine is self-taught in Japanese, which he started learning independently at the age of 6, and is also fluent in French, English and various forms of Spanish. He is hyperthymestic, a reformed somnambulist, occasional somniloquist, synaesthete (grapheme-colour), and acrophobic.Antoine's illustration work has won recognition from the industry's preeminent juries and publications, notably The Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Print Magazine, 3x3 Magazine and Spectrum. In 2011 Antoine Revoy received a Gold Award from Graphis and in 2012 he was awarded a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles. Antoine currently resides in the East Coast of the United States, teaches at his alma mater the Rhode Island School of Design, and is married to award-winning illustrator Kelly Murphy.
