Ho voluto leggere questo libro perché io adoro le poesie di Neruda... in realtà non me ne intendo molto di questo genere, ma lui è sicuramente il mio poeta preferito. What a brilliant little book! It explains dictatorship in such a great way. It really should be mandatory to read this book at school. I just wish that more kids were as clever as Pedro. He uses a fantastic method to rule out the government's really mean technique of trying to find out whose parents...

A very pleasing little novel that became in turn a pleasing film. I think I enjoyed the novel just a little more because it provides the opportunity to linger over phrases both beautiful and silly.
