Not having read some of this for a while and finding it on sale in The Works, I gave it a try. Interesting but sometimes unclear storyline made it engaging and the artwork was good. The plot includes Sentinels, the Brood, a new villain called Kaga. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Armor is awesome, and Wolverine with the punch at the end. Hilarious.
Not a bad story, but not one of the best. A rather long-winded way to have a Cyclops introspection.
Warren Ellis is one of the best writers in comics (Planetary, Transmetropolitan, Doctor Sleepless) but for some reason that skill never quite translates into mainstream superheroes. I believe Phil Jimenez is the second best artist to work on the X-Men, after John Byrne and ahead of Jim Lee, but her...
