I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I was expecting it to be much sappier than it turned out to be. The characters drew me in and kept me reading, but the tragedy in their lives was either too heavily foreshadowed or too predictable.
Clumsy, clumsy dialogue. A lot of 'and then they did this and she felt that'; show, don't tell.
