Not MacLean's best but good nevertheless. The short length ensures that you can breeze through it in a few hours.
A spark of interest (for me) was added to the formula in that it's set very close to home (Alberta), altho' i the alien world of oil production, as transmuted by MacLean's never-never-land imagination.
