When Atsuhisa Okura isn't hard at work teaching classes or drawing comics for Manga University, he's creating an international sensation by taking his art to new places and new readers.In 2007 he was commissioned to illustrate "Manga Conquers America," an award-winning 10-page article for Wired magazine. That same year, his work was featured in museum exhibitions in the United Kingdom and the United States.In Japan, his stories have appeared in Business Jump and Shonen Magazine, and he is a past recipient of the Kodansha and Shueisha prizes for Best New Manga Artist.He lives in Tokyo.
