"I was working full-time as a graphic designer in San Francisco while creating the art for the first Walter book, followed with the story & art for Francine Francine the Beach Party Queen!. Some words people have used to describe my art: ugly, weird, off-putting, wacky, twisted, hilarious, scary, absurd, crisp, bizarre, zany, sophisticated, clever, sick, surreal, whimsical, vibrant, and creepy. I'd just call it brightly colored with a dash of odd."
