Alcune parti scorrono molto bene.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review, thank you! Maybe I'm too young for this novel. Born in '93, I wasn't young in the 1980ies -obviously- and therefore I might not have enjoyed this novel as much as someone who did. Because it is f...

It wasn't the first time in history that nerd was meeting nerd, but it was the first time for us, our cohort-the first nerds of the modern age, floppy-disk drives, game consoles, Apple IIs, and C64s-and we were different. This was one of the most frustrating books that I have ever read. I clearly w...

The characters annoyed me so much, especially Russell. The book itself was solidly written at times, but at others felt bloated. The story is aimless and I didn't realize what the book was even about until I finished. It started as one thing, changed to another, and changed again. It was just medioc...

I think Grossman attempts to address the "as you know, Bob" problem by making his protagonist almost completely ignorant of the gaming industry. But he's out of work, it turns out he doesn't like law or couldn't cut it, I don't remember. And the friends he took a programming class with once almost a...

So, I haven't read Ready Player One, which just about everybody seems to compare this to. Austin Grossman has a really interesting Wikipedia page, where I learned he has been involved in such industry gems as Deus Ex, Thief: Deadly Shadows, and Dishonored. He's also been involved in the amazingly ba...

This was such a great read!!! This anthology has an amazing theme. It was so fun. Some stories were better than others. My favorite was the one by Naomi Novik.

Nope. Couldn't stick. My review would be negative, but I'm not the right target for this novel. So, rather than complain about a meal not to my taste, I'll let others speak up.
