My first contact with Japanese Light Novels. Unfortunately the writing is terrible. Guess I'll just stick with the anime.

At first, this episode of Sword Art Online, really did not appeal to me - Why would a SAO fan be interested in *guns*? Some poor writing (translating?) at one point almost made me put it down, but glad I didn't, despite the flaws, along with #6 made an entertaining read.
*note: I read the English translations, but it was still amazing.
Obviously as a fan of the Anime, which is pretty flawed but at the same time almost perfect, I felt the need to peruse the light novel. Where it covers the same ground it is almost scene for scene the same, however concentrates almost exclusively on the relationship between Kirito and Asuna. As such...
