Loved how the author used Audubon's Birds of America as an organizing principle for this powerful story of redemption.
What a great book. This one will make you laugh out loud and also might make you a little teary. Doug Swietek is probably one of the best narrators in the history of books. I am going to go pick up The Wednesday Wars asap. I can see why this book is getting so much Newbery buzz.
Really it's 4.5 stars...The structure of this book is great!
