AYELET TSABARI is an Israeli of Yemeni descent; she grew up in Israel, served in the army, and moved to Canada in 1998. The Best Place on Earth was nominated for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award, and her nonfiction has won a National Magazine Award and a Western Magazine Award. She is a graduate of the Creative Writing MFA Program at Guelph, and lives in Toronto, where she is at work on a novel.
