B.K. Stevens (Bonnie K. Stevens) has published over forty mystery stories, most of them in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. A character introduced in a 2010 story will be the protagonist of B.K.'s first novel, INTERPRETATION OF MURDER, which will be published by Black Opal Books in winter, 2014. A 2012 story, "Thea's First Husband," was nominated for both Agatha and Macavity awards and also made the list of "Other Distinguished Mystery Stories of 2012" in Best American Mystery Stories 2013. Her awards include a Derringer from the Short Mystery Fiction Society (for the story that introduced the protagonist of INTERPRETATION OF MURDER) and first place in a national suspense-writing contest judged by Mary Higgins Clark.
