Story of a very troubled family in Appalchia. 19 year old harley is trying to keep his family together after his mother is imprisoned for murdering his father. Harley's sisters Amber, Misty, and Jodi, all have serious psychological problems. This diturbing story is incredibly well written.
Another downer from Oprah's bookclub. But it was a very good book. I really liked the protagonist and I felt for his difficult situation, being very young and having to take care of his sisters and wanting a life of his own.
